About Us
Rho Chemical was founded in Joliet, Illinois in 1959. Serving as a toll processing and contract manufacturing facility for 53 years, our work in the past has evolved and allowed us to branch into many industries.
In the 1960's and 1970's Rho made its debut in space. We developed a new resin material that was used in the space shuttles and also used for printed circuit board applications on the Pioneer 10 deep space probe.
In later years, Rho designed new high performance material that was found to be ideal for mast bearings, and thus paved the way to victories in America's Cup races.
